I love the first 3/4 of this book. The main character was extremely likable and funny. The plot flowed at a nice steady pace. The ending let me down.... it felt first way to rushed, I wanted more romance, and the epilogue was just way to “perfect” like every happily ever after you see in harlequin romance novels.Product details

This was a nice simple read. I enjoyed the story from beginning to end. I wouldn't mind reading more from this beautiful couple.

It was wonderful loves the quotes for each chapter
Short reads work really well for me, because between running my own business booming freelance business AND working a full-time day job, I just don't have a lot of time to read! I was so impressed by this fun, cute little novella.
Hope Love (okay, so not a normal name, but an awesome character anyway) is an OB/GYN in the Hollywood area, and she caters to the stars. The only problem is she worksworksworks that she doesn't have time for a real love life. For a woman who deals in babies and families, this is crazy. Her father, who owns the clinic, decides it's time to hire Hope a little help...
Enter love interest.
I read Special Delivery straight through in less than an hour, rooting for Hope the whole way. It has love, friendship, baby drama, and handbags. What more could a girl want?
Well, I did like it, though it's been only two weeks since I had my second son, and reading about pregnancies, C-sections, contractions and women in labor was more than awkward. )
Anyway, it's a short read, though it has a lot of potential. I liked the characters, Hope and Brad are really a cute couple, and I wish I could read more about them. Reading this book was really like watching a movie, at times a scary one (as I said, it's cause of the fact I recently had a baby) and at times a funny one.
Hope is lovely, though I usually don't like workaholics but she kind of grow on me while reading the book. As for the plot, it's sweet yet very predictable..but you know what? I really didn't care, because I got what I just needed right now in my life... a fun and enjoyable read!
I will most definitely check out the sequel in the Hollywood Hills series, somewhere in the near future.
I'd never read a romance novel before, but I thought this book sounded cute, so I decided to give it a try -- and was pleasantly surprised.
This is a short, fast read that was enjoyable and very well thought out. It had likable characters, and while the romance was a bit fast, it was also believable and had a good ending. The author added a lot of nice touches circling different aspects of various romances, of kindling friendships, and the setting was perfect for the novel. Also, it was a very clean novel with more focus on the characters and what was happening in their lives than the physical aspect of the romance.
My only cons for this novel were a few typos and misspells, of which there weren't many. Also, as I said before, it was a short read, so some chapters seemed a bit quick to me, but not so quick that I didn't enjoy them. And as far as content, only mild cursing, mild alcohol reference, and some sexual reference.
I would definitely recommend this adult fiction to those looking for a lighter romance with some laughs and great characters. Four stars!

This was a delightful story of a Female OB/GYN who was resigned to staying single in a comfortable partnership with her father who was retired.
She came hoe from a short vacation only to discover her father had interviewed and hired another Dr. specializing in infertility.
she found it very difficult to accept until she slowly became better acquainted with the new partner.
This is light reading. There was drama, romance and light humor. There was some harsh language but not terrible.
The story-line had a steady flow to it and there were several points that would encourage book club discussion.
Sometimes I just want to read something about as deep as a kiddie pool and fluffy as a chocolate truffle. This is it. I enjoyed this fun light story about Hope Love, OB/GYN to the stars. I thought there was just enough about Hope's work, home, and social life to balance the story and loved hearing about her celebrity patients. This is not life changing, but certainly entertaining and worth the couple hours it takes to read. If you like stories set in Hollywood full of celebrities (fictional of course) and designer goods, I recommend this story. My only critique is that I wish the romance would have developed more before the ending. I did appreciate the epilogue to let us know where key characters were a year later. I downloaded the next in the series and look forward to reading it.
